What Game Analysis Shows You

Game analysis is more than a move list. For every position, Stockfish finds the best continuation and compares it to what was played. From that you get:

  • Accuracy percentage — how close your moves were to the engine’s. The centipawn loss of each move is converted to a win probability and averaged across the game (the same approach as Lichess).
  • Move labels — every move is tagged: book, best, good, inaccuracy, mistake, or blunder, so the turning points jump out.
  • The best move in each position — see exactly what you should have played and how much stronger it was.
  • Evaluation graph — the advantage curve over the game. Sharp swings are the moments that decided it.

Analyze a Game in 3 Steps

  1. Import the game — enter a Chess.com or Lichess username to pull recent games, or upload a PGN file.
  2. Run the analysis — Stockfish processes the game on the server and prepares accuracy, move labels, and the evaluation graph.
  3. Review the key moments — step through the blunders and inaccuracies, check the best move in each, and understand the plan you missed.

Game Analysis With Best Moves

The point of a review is not the label “mistake” — it’s the answer to “what was right instead.” chess.rodeo shows the engine’s best move in every position with the evaluation before and after, so you see the cost of an error in pawns and the idea you overlooked. You can also move the pieces for either side to test your own lines; the engine re-evaluates on the fly.

Free and Unlimited

Game analysis on chess.rodeo is free, with no daily quota and no mandatory account. Review a whole session back to back while the ideas are still fresh.
