Is chess.rodeo really free?
Yes. Game analysis is free — import from Chess.com, Lichess or upload PGN files and get a Stockfish review with no daily limits. Pro unlocks advanced extras: auto-import, learning moments, opening mistakes and a repertoire explorer.

Which chess engine do you use?
Stockfish 18 — the strongest open-source chess engine in the world. Analysis runs on our servers at depth 15+, and many positions are pre-analysed at depth 20+ from the Lichess database for instant results.

How is accuracy calculated?
We use the same formula as Lichess. The centipawn loss of each move is converted into a win probability, then averaged across every move. The result is a percentage reflecting how close your moves are to the engine's best lines.

Can I analyse games from any platform?
Directly from Chess.com and Lichess by username. For other platforms, export your games as PGN files and upload them here. We support multi-game PGN files.

How do Game Insights work?
Insights analyse the games you've already reviewed and find patterns in your play. The free tier uses your stored analyses; Pro can automatically fill in missing deep analysis and unlocks learning moments, opening mistakes and the repertoire explorer.
