A 1500 on Chess.com and a 1500 on Lichess are not the same level: different people play on each platform, and each has its own scale. Pick a platform and a time control and enter your rating. The converter shows what you would be rated on the other platform, a rough FIDE equivalent, and what share of Lichess players are rated below you.

| 600 | 1190 | 1110 | 1010 |
| 800 | 1340 | 1250 | 1170 |

| 1400 | 1800 | 1690 | 1630 |
| 1600 | 1950 | 1840 | 1780 |
| 1800 | 2100 | 1990 | 1940 |
| 2000 | 2260 | 2130 | 2090 |
| 2200 | 2410 | 2280 | 2240 |
Measured on November 4, 2026 from chess.rodeo players who linked accounts on both platforms. We only used settled ratings: at least 20 games in that time control, a game within the last year, and a rating deviation (RD) of 90 or less. That left 26 players in bullet, 49 in blitz and 52 in rapid.
In blitz, a Chess.com 1000 averages 1400 on Lichess, and a 2000 averages 2130. The gap shrinks from 400 points to 130 and disappears at around 2500. Lichess runs highest above Chess.com in bullet and least in rapid.
These are averages. For half of players, their own gap differs from the table by less than 100–110 points either way.
The ChessGoals survey described below has its own Chess.com to Lichess table. In blitz it is within 10–30 points of ours; in rapid its numbers are 80–100 higher.
FIDE rating
The FIDE estimate comes from the ChessGoals survey of July 2026, in which 1,923 players gave both their Chess.com blitz rating and their FIDE rating. The survey puts the spread at ±75. A Lichess rating or a different time control is first converted to Chess.com blitz using the same survey’s tables.
| Chess.com blitz | FIDE |
|---|---|
| 1100 | 1660 |
| 1300 | 1690 |
| 1500 | 1740 |
| 1700 | 1820 |
| 1900 | 1920 |
| 2100 | 2020 |
| 2300 | 2140 |
| 2500 | 2250 |
Below 1100 in Chess.com blitz the survey has no FIDE figures. At the bottom the FIDE scale is compressed: 1100 and 1500 on Chess.com are 400 points apart, but only 80 apart in FIDE. A FIDE rating never goes below 1400.
How many Lichess players are rated below you
Lichess itself shows, on each rating page, what share of players in that time control are rated below you. The converter uses those figures, taken on November 4, 2026 for 563 of our players' ratings. A Chess.com rating is converted to Lichess first.
| Lichess rating | Bullet | Blitz | Rapid |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1000 | 12% | 13% | 18% |
| 1200 | 25% | 28% | 35% |
| 1400 | 39% | 44% | 53% |
| 1500 | 46% | 53% | 62% |
| 1600 | 55% | 63% | 70% |
| 1800 | 69% | 79% | 85% |
| 2000 | 82% | 90% | 94% |
| 2200 | 92% | 97% | 99% |
The middle of the Lichess scale is around 1380 in rapid, 1470 in blitz and 1540 in bullet.
Why the ratings differ
Both platforms use the Glicko system, but each rates you only against its own players: your Chess.com rating compares you with people who play on Chess.com, your Lichess rating with people who play on Lichess. New players on Lichess start at 1500.
To see where you lose points, look at your games: enter your Chess.com or Lichess username and chess.rodeo will review your recent games.
